Men's underwear made from natural fibres such as cotton, bamboo and modal is essential in a man's wardrobe. First and foremost for health reasons, these garments are in direct contact with the skin of your body, so it is essential to pay attention to this when choosing.

Cotton fibres are familiar to all of us, so we won't dwell on them. The use of bamboo or modal fibres in underwear is a little less well known, so I will mention some of their characteristics and differences.

Bamboo is one of the more expensive fibres in textiles in general, but it is more expensive for a reason. Its main characteristics that distinguish it from the others are its anti-allergenicity, its antibacterial properties and its extreme softness. When comparing the softness of cotton, modal and bamboo, it is unrivalled, although modal is also soft. Thus, as the softest of the fabrics mentioned here, bamboo is naturally also anti-allergenic, so people with particularly sensitive and friction-allergic skin should choose bamboo-fibre underwear if possible. Antibacteriality is a property of bamboo fibre that "traps" unpleasant odours.

Modal is an artificial cellulose fibre, usually artificially extracted from beech trees. Compared to cotton, modal textiles are softer, gentler, extremely breathable and non-allergenic to the skin. Modal fibre is heavier than cotton, but this characteristic allows it to conform well to the shape of the body - when used in combination with spandex, it enhances lines and does not restrict mobility
